River Revival
Reimagining Brownfields into Green Space.
For this project, Greg was part of the design and delivery team at WRT
For years, American river cities have turned their back on the water bodies they were founded on. With quality of life becoming increasingly important ain cities, riverfront waterfronts has reached a critical mass. Greg worked with a design team and state authorities to develop master plans for brownfield waterfront sites.
Connecting the River Back to the City
In New Jersey, the North Camden Waterfront Redevelopment Plan featured mixed-income, high-density development that was wholly integrated with the existing neighbourhood while providing necessary amenities for new and existing residents.
Improving Quality of Life and Environmental Impact
The Albany waterfront project created a Local Waterfront Revitalisation Program (LWRP) to establish policies and implementation techniques for Albany’s Hudson River edge. The project was a partnership with the NYS Division of Coastal Resources and the City of Albany to create a framework and vision that was consistent between local, state and federal policies.
