Greg came up in some of the most creative and competitive architecture design studios in the USA and Australia. In 2019, he branched away from larger consultancy firms and founded Meck as a boutique studio with the ability to test and implement innovative urban design ideas. He is passionate about the built environment, and believes a high quality, human-centric' public realm is at the heart of successful cities.

Greg holds Bachelor’s degrees in Geography and Urban Studies from the Ohio State University and a Master’s degree in Planning and Urban Design from the University of Cincinnati. With both creative and practical skills gained through his background, plus applied design experience across five continents, he brings a holistic approach towards tackling urban issues.

In total, Greg has 17-years of diverse experience ranging from site specific brownfield regeneration in Philadelphia to master planning strategies in North Africa, equitable mobility design and transit-oriented development in Sydney, Australia and road safety campaigns in Delhi, India. Greg is currently collaborating with the UN’s Ukraine Urban Lab in Kyiv to implement urban recovery reconstruction plans in war-torn Ukraine. Previously, he led implementation efforts for the UN’s ambitious Global Future Cities Programme to embed Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in local projects and worked with the World Bank in Indonesia to facilitate investment in sustainable urbanism.

Greg believes that public space is the bedrock of our cities.  Great public spaces make a sense of community visible and needs to be cherished in an ever-urbanising world.

Greg has recently been a design lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and University of New South Wales (UNSW) and has led capacity building efforts and/or published in the numerous contexts. He has also helped spearhead numerous tactical urbanism ventures across the world. In 2014, three such projects were featured in the Tactical Urbanism Guidebook 4 (Australia and New Zealand).

Greg currently splits his time between Kyiv, Ukraine and Sydney, Australia.
