Greg founded Meck to test and implement innovative urban design ideas. He is passionate about the built environment, and believes a high quality, human-centric' public realm is at the heart of successful cities.

Greg holds Bachelor’s degrees in Geography and Urban Studies from the Ohio State University and a Master’s degree in Community Planning and Urban Design from the University of Cincinnati. With both creative and practical skills gained through his background, plus applied design experience across five continents, he brings a holistic approach towards tackling urban issues.

In total, Greg has 15-years of diverse experience ranging from site specific brownfield regeneration in Philadelphia to master planning strategies in North Africa, equitable mobility design and transit-oriented development in Sydney, Australia and road safety campaigns in Delhi, India. Greg is currently collaborating with the UN-Habitat as part of the Global Future Cities Programme to implement Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the New Urban Agenda. He is also working withe the World Bank in Indonesia to promote strategic investment in sustainable urbanism.

 

 
 

Greg believes that public space is the bedrock of our cities.  Great public spaces make a sense of community visible and needs to be cherished in an ever-urbanising world. 

Greg has recently been a lecturer at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and has presented and/or published in the United States, India and Australia. He has also helped spearhead numerous tactical urbanism ventures across the world. In 2014, three such projects were featured in the Tactical Urbanism Guidebook 4 (Australia and New Zealand).

Greg currently lives in Sydney, Australia.
